Can-Abruzzo Tours is a cycling company operating out of Ottawa, Canada. Founded by friends Greg Mullen and Mario Panetta, our tours are centred in Ovindoli, Abruzzo, Italy. We offer guided cycling tours through the Apennine Mountains and along the Adriatic Coast. Sample destinations through the scenic Italian countryside include L’Aquila, Avezzano, and Ortona.
Can-Abruzzo Tours offers group trips geared towards intermediate and advanced cyclists. Riders explore scenic Abruzzo through an active and healthy tour while enjoying a truly authentic and genuine Italian experience.
Our trip includes ground transport, pick-up, and drop-off to Leonardo Di Vinci Fiumicino Airport in Rome. Tours also include accommodations in a quaint family run hotel. Breakfasts and dinners are provided with accommodations – meals at il Ghiro Hotel are home-cooked traditional Italian delicacies. The food is a delicious local and authentic taste of Italy.
Most days begin with a ride after breakfast. Our trip includes various optional afternoon activities to visit ruins, enjoy hikes, tour historical sites, or relax at the beach.
